Digital Data Storage in all Major Formats | 773-927-6066
Digital Data Storage (DDS) uses magnetic tape to store and back up computer data on Digital Audio Tape (DAT tape) that is generally 3.8mm wide (with exceptions for newer versions). Similar to a VHS recorder, DDS drives use helical scanning to record the data onto the tape. This means there are two read heads and two write heads which process the information into a recorded format. The read heads ensure data was properly recorded onto the tape. If there are errors, the write heads rewrite the data correctly.
Malelo sells Sony, Maxell, Emtec and Fuji DDS-1, DDS-2, DDS-3, DDS-4, and DAT 72 tape. Can't find what you're looking for? We have more professional audio, video and data storage tape than we can possibly list on our site. Call us at 773-927-6066 and we can locate exactly what you need!
