5 of 5 RTM vs ATR January 19, 2022

I regularly use both SM900 and ATR Master Tape in the studio.  They sound nearly identical but the RTM tape seems to wear like iron.  Even after multiple takes winding back and fourth a hundred times on an old Otari, the RTM tape looks as new and scratch free as it came out of the box where the ATR tape tends to scratch more easily and find myself cleaning the heads more often. RTM is usually pricier than ATR but with this companies volume discounts on RTM...its a no brainer!

I love the SM900, big punchy and clear. It kind of reminds of the records that came out on the ECM label in the 70s. Some people don't like it, but i actually prefer it over the 911 which in my experience sounds too dull and unexciting.
You guys offer the best deal around on RTM tape hands down!
